What we're about

Toddler Moms: Are you looking for a place to connect with other moms and experts for advice on parenting topics such as creative play, nutrition, technology and screen time, school readiness (and selection), creating empathy, behavior and discipline? Want some strategies for YOU - to help manage the daily changes and challenges?

We created the Mommy Conference for you - and us too. We're two moms, who want to go to a conference like the one that we've created. We want to meet with education, wellness and healthcare experts - in one place - where we have a chance to ask questions, be heard and listen to advice on raising our early learners. Our theme is Power of Play. We've got an awesome keynote speaker - Nancy Carlsson-Paige. Ed D.

Nancy Carlsson-Paige is Professor Emerita at Lesley University where she taught teachers for more than 30 years and was a founder of the University's Center for Peaceable Schools. Nancy has written and spoken extensively about the impact of media on children's lives and social development, and how children learn the skills for positive relationships. She is a critic of current education reforms that promote standardized tests and the privatization of schools. Nancy is the author of five books and numerous articles and op eds on media and technology, conflict resolution, peaceable classrooms, and education reform. Her most recent book is called Taking Back Childhood: A Proven Roadmap for Raising Confident, Creative, Compassionate Kids. Nancy has received many awards for her leadership and advocacy in early childhood and peace education. She is an advocate for education policies and practices that promote social justice and the well being of all children.

Our roundtable topics are what really make this program unique. Designed to be small intimate discussions led by a credentialed healthcare, wellness or education professional who will guide you through a topic and offer practical guidance to common challenges.

Roundtable topics may include nutrition, technology, school readiness, creating empathy, the care and keeping of mom, behavior and discipline.
