In Nikole Hannah-Jones's recent MLK day lecture delivered at CWRU on January 19th, 2018, she dismissed "diversity" as a cop-out word for the task of true citizen equality. Come and discuss this proposition, possible replies as to what she may have minimized about diversity, and what the task of equality demands, especially of inclusion and redistribution of resources. This is a regular meeting of the Ethics Table (http://philosophy.case.edu/beamer-schneider-professorship/ethics-table/). The topics evolve. All from the community are welcome. Please respect CWRU community norms as well.
The meeting takes place in the first floor lounge, to the left of the entrance. Coffee and baklava areI served. Please bring your own lunch if you wish.
