What we're about

"Life is intrinsically, well, boring and dangerous at the same time. At any given moment the floor may open up. Of course, it almost never does; that's what makes it so boring."-Edward Gorey

Are you curious about cadavers? Lured by the lurid? Delighted by decapitations? Bored by regular book clubs? We're here for you, darling. This is a book club for the cheerfully ghoulish.

We'll be reading fiction and non-fiction about topics like medical history and quackery, cannibalism, ghosts and monsters in folklore, and the death industry. We'll try to keep the books we read fascinating and as non-depressing as we can get, given the topics we're fixated on. Once a month, we'll meet up for tea and snacks to chat about what we read.
