toura's Matt Rogish - PhoneGap, Cross Platform, and You

PhoneGap is an open source framework for building cross-platform mobile applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is an ideal solution for web developers interested in mobile development as it allows them to leverage existing skills rather than start form scratch with a device-specific compiled language; it also works well if you want an application to run on multiple devices with the same code base. In this talk, I'll discuss the pros and cons of PhoneGap, give a brief survey of other cross-platform mobile application frameworks, and an overview to the PhoneGap architecture/ecosystem.
