Are you curious by nature? Do you wonder about the world around you?
Join The Nature of Things Book Club to explore our fascinating world and discover all there is to know! We meet the last Wednesday each month, 7–8 pm in the Ship Room at Providence Public Library. Members choose science books written for a general audience, to pique our curiosity and lead us to amazing and important discoveries. Copies of each month’s book can be borrowed at PPL or your local library.
This month we're discussing Peter Wohlleben's The Hidden Life of Trees, which details the surprising ways that plants communicate and interact. The book was first published in Germany, where it was a sensation. The anthropomorphic writing can at times distract from the real science that underlies Wohlleben's claims, but there's no doubt that the book is wonderfully engaging. Join us as we discuss this thought-provoking and fascinating read.

I'll have copies of March's title on hand for those that attend. We'll vote for April's title at the end of the meeting.
Hope to see you there!
