NACEA's Annual Conference

Urban Farming and Sustainability Conference

If you are interested in business and entrepreneur opportunities in the Green and Sustainable industry, or would like to know more about the newest trends in Urban Agriculture, such as Vertical Farming, then please join us in the NACEA Annual Conference on October 24 in Iselin, NJ.

Several luminaries from the sustainable industry will be speakers/panelists in one of the many sessions.

Jonathan Cloud, Chairman of the Sustainable Business Incubator at Fairleigh Dickinson University, assists entrepreneurs with start-up ventures in renewable energy, CO2 reduction, and other environmental technologies, as well as with emerging business models involving carbon trading, sustainability consulting, and sustainable social enterprises.

Dr. Dickson D. Despommier from Columbia University is the developer of the concept of Vertical Farms, a proposed agricultural technique involving large-scale agriculture in urban high-rises or "farmscrapers". Using advanced greenhouse technology and greenhouse methods such as hydroponics, these buildings would produce fruit, vegetables, edible mushrooms and algae year-round.

Dr. Despommier's new book "The Vertical Farm: Feeding the World in the 21st Century" has just come out and is available at and bookstores everywhere.
