Job hunting can be a full-time job. Let’s tackle it together! Stephanie, our NYSN host/HR pro, will lead a conversation on the trials and tribulations of job hunting and what you can do to overcome any fears and obstacles. She will share her advice from a Recruiter’s perspective and answer any questions you may have. You’ll also get to hear from others as they job hunt and share advice between each other.

Our NYSN host, Stephanie, will lead the conversation. She has been in the HR/Recruitment space for over 6 years and will share from her own unique experience. She will share her advice from a Recruiter’s perspective and answer any questions you may have. You’ll also get to hear from others as they job hunt and share advice between each other.

Whether you’re just getting started or you have been looking for a while, all these tips and tricks can prove valuable when looking for your next role.

We’ll discuss:
Where to start your job hunt
How to create a resume that will get noticed
How to prepare for your interview
How to negotiate salary
How to work with Recruiters/staffing agencies
Any questions you have

How it Works:
Register below. You will need a computer or smartphone with webcam and microphone. This way you can interact with Stephanie and the others.
We will send you an invitation and codes to join.

What do I need?
A device with a camera and microphone.

How do I participate?
When you register we will send you a code to join or Zoom meeting. (please note that the confirmation will come later)

Can I attend alone?
Right now 99.9% of those participating attend alone.

How Many are expected?
Most of our virtual events have 10 to 20 participants unless otherwise specified.

Who participates in these?
The demographics of our online events are varied unless we have a specific criteria listed. For the most part there are all ages and ethnicities. Realistically, this should not matter to you. If there is an event that you would like to do, then do it! It is totally different than physically being stuck at something you are not enjoying. You can “click out” at any time. If you are unhappy with the experience we will refund your fee.

Questions?
If you have a questions as to how many, gender balance or ages of those registered for a particular event email [masked] or call[masked]. We are committed to making sure that the event your register for is going to be great!

Dress Code:
Pajamas & t-shirts are acceptable (just, please be wearing clothes!). Also we all realize that our beards are growing and our hair looks like hell. (Besides most computer cameras are not that clear anyway)

Speed FRIENDING - Expand Your Social Network (Online/Fundraiser)

*TO ATTEND REGISTER AT - https://dljparty.ticketleap.com/speed-friending/dates/ (*Multiple Meetup groups are co-organizing so the RSVP's shown are just a very small portion attending. We have at least 20 registered. Portion of all ticket sales are donated to various Covid-19 charities.)

Make new friends and add to your social network - all from the comfort and safety of your own home!

ABOUT:
Many of us are feeling isolated and still looking for ways to socialize so we created Virtual Speed Friending to allow you to meet new people and make new friends - in a fun and safe environment!

HOW IT WORKS:
We will take all of the participants and break them up Virtually into smaller groups of 3-4 people. You will be in a private online room (for 5-10 minutes) with just your small group (you can see and hear others in your group). The host will provide an ice breaker question. At the end of each round, you will have an opportunity to share contact information privately with people you felt connected with. The groups will then be mixed up again and you will continue to meet more people.

If you purchased a ticket, don't worry if it says "Unpaid" next to your RSVP. That's just a Meetup glitch. All paid attendees will get Zoom link day of the event. If you do not receive by 6:30pm day of event, please message the organizer.

*Cost: $15- $20 depending on how early you register. Event organizers continue to be hit hard by this pandemic. We are still working hard to create fun, virtual events for you to participate in and still "Meetup". We appreciate your support during this trying time. We will get through this together!
