Volunteer to deliver meals for Meals on Wheels (Must register with link)

Our weekday meal deliveries are picked-up from our office, located inside the Good Companions Seniors' Centre (670 Albert St) and are being delivered across our catchment area within the city. We currently need drivers to help on Tuesdays and Fridays with frozen meal deliveries. Routes are designed to take approximately 2 hours, and pickup is between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM.

Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, our volunteer protocols and needs sometimes change for the health and safety of all. As of today, here are our criteria for volunteering:

- can commit to helping out longer term (6+ months)
- have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle; - can deliver a route on their own OR with someone from their own household (must also go through Meals on Wheels training and meet criteria);
- most shifts are on Tuesdays and Fridays starting between 10:30am - 1:30pm;
- other volunteer shifts are on Mon, Wedn, Thurs, and Sat and start between 10:50am - 11am;
- shifts take approximately 2 hours to complete; - have a current level 3 Police Record Check for volunteer service with the vulnerable sector (less than 12 months);
- can follow our health and safety protocols put in place during COVID-19
