What we're about

The groups motto is "CARPE DIEM" - which is Latin for "seize the day!"

The Out Goers is a fun social group of friends and strangers to come together and enjoy all that life has to offer together! Our main goal is just to have fun and explore as much of this beautiful earth as possible! Our activities will include hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, day trips and multi-day trips, international trips as well as local exploration. Our adventures will take us all over our beautiful country as well as the world! We welcome all age groups, backgrounds and beliefs.

We encourage all members who join, to post their suggestions for events that you are interested in doing and the organizers will do their best to get something organized.

Our organizers are not tour guides, we're not park wardens. Going out with us is the same as going out with a few friends. Expect the same risks, take the same precautions. As organizers, we will do our best to give accurate descriptions of the hikes and adventures we post. As you go on more outings with us, you'll become more familiar with our ratings and our descriptions, and you'll learn more about your own limits. Ultimately, it's up to you to keep yourself safe out there. You're an adult. Adventure within your abilities.

When you RSVP yes to an event you and/or your guest are accepting the terms set forth by our liability agreement. Found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xkA-kuCAOnvAtB-JxVOLkJKehKtmDGeLrENvUpeReSc/edit?usp=sharing

There is absolutely no membership fee to be apart of this meetup group. As we are not out to make a profit off this site. We simply ask that if you enjoy the group and have fun at the outings, that if it's financially feasible for you to donate $5.00 that will help cover the cost of maintaining the website. No worries if you can't, you will never be asked to pay a membership fee or event fee (outside of actual event costs such as camp site fee's or parking fee's etc...) in order to attend an event!
