Malibu Mondays: Strong Uphill Intermediate Hike 5 Miles 1600 Feet Gain

It's the end of the month and time for a POWER HIKE. Let's hike from Piuma to Mesa Peak Motorway (or beyond!) before serious darkness hits. You will need to move approx 3 mph up a trail and fire road for this. If you're not up to it please join the easy beginner hike at the beginning of October. This will be about 5 Miles with 1600 feet of gain at a good clip. Views are stunning. The group is awesome. The universe shall be perfect for some period of time. Parking: From PCH in Malibu, drive inland on Malibu Canyon Road for 4.5 miles and turn right into the dirt parking area at corner of Piuma and Malibu Canyon Road. From the north, take the 101 Freeway to exit 32 for Las Virgenes Canyon Road in Agoura Hills. Drive south for 5 miles on Las Virgenes Canyon Road (which becomes Malibu Canyon Road) and turn left to park at corner of Piuma and las Virgenes.
