Limekiln canyon is always a favorite, so let's do it again.
It sounds long for a weeknight, but it's not difficult because of the low elevation gain. This hike starts at a trail head right on the north side of Rinaldi, west of Tampa.
The best part of this night hike are the views of the SF Valley lights, as we make our way parallel to Tampa and then cross the road to Wilbur Tampa Park to continue nearly to Reseda before turning back and returning by the same route to the cars. A scene or two from the "E.T." movie were filmed along our route. Whenever we do this hike (photos below), people seem to enjoy it, so why not do it again?
This location will be convenient for members in Santa Clarita, the SF Valley, Simi and even in TO.
Directions: The trailhead is on the north side of Rinaldi, just West of Tampa. Simply take the Tampa exit from the 118 in Chatsworth, go north a SHORT distance to Rinaldi and then turn left. The trailhead will be on your right, but you may have to park on the opposite side of Rinaldi, and (carefully!) cross the busy street. Here is a link to the Street View (https://email@example.com,-118.5598615,3a,75y,344.24h,91.7t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1slocpJeyv3Yx3XIW-0kamsg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en).
