TO ALLOW GROUP HIKES TO START UP AGAIN, IT'S ESSENTIAL TO FOLLOW THE COVID-19 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS TO KEEP ALL OF US SAFE NOW:

This hike is limited to 10 but I will open it to 20 when I find a co-host.

THE HIKE
Time: 3:00pm. We will start hiking at 3:10
Sunset: 4:49pm
Where to meet: At the trailhead on Evening Sky Dr
Distance: 5 miles
Route type: Out and back. We’ll make a couple of stops to see the bee sanctuary
Trail: Fireroad, asphalt at the very beginning of the hike
Elevation gain: evenly distributed elevation gain of about 700’
Speed: 2mph plus
Weather: I’ll keep you posted
Difficulty: Beginner - fit beginner
Dogs: On a leash per state law
Restrooms: Nature
Water Fountain: None
Parking: Free in street on the side of the trailhead
Known Dangers: Rattlesnakes, slip-'n-fall, poison oak, mountain lions, creepy crawly things.

WHAT TO BRING
Flashlight or Headlight
At least 2 liters of water
Snacks for energy
Electrolytes
Good hiking/walking shoes
Dress according to the weather

From the west: 23-N to 118-E, Exit 29 Yosemite.
From the east: 118-W, Exit 29 Yosemite.

Head north on Yosemite for 1.25 miles.
Turn right (east) on Evening Sky Drive for about .5 miles.
The trail head is on the left.
Park along the street.

• This hike is limited to 10 participants, guests are not permitted.
• Each participant will observe social distancing of 6 ft. among ourselves.
• It is REQUIRED to carry a mask and wear it through the duration of the hike. Of course we remove our masks when we can but...
• Be CONSIDERATE and wear your mask when near each other or near other hikers passing by.
• Cover your mouth with your elbow if you need to sneeze or cough.
• DO NOT attend this hike if you are showing signs of COVID-19, or if you choose not to observe the mask rule and wear it when near other hikers, or if you are on the waitlist.
