Details

Length: 5 miles
Elevation Gain: 700ft
Dogs: Yes
Bathroom at Trailhead: No
Difficulty: Moderate
Sunset: 4:54pm
What to Bring: Water, Snacks, and Sweater/Jacket if you get cold easy.

The PM Hikers have done this hike once before so some of you may have already been here. I plan to take a slightly different route and head up to Lizard Rock. From there we will take the trail down to the water treatment plant and follow the stream up to the waterfall. There are a few stream crossings on this hike so you feet may get wet.

When it is time to return to our cars, we will continue upstream and visit the Indian cave. Some people may choose to climb up through the cave and take a different trail back to our cars. The rest of us will back track a little then complete a loop back up to our cars.

Rain will postpone this hike.

This hike will happen as long as the prior Beginner Series Hikes have taken place, otherwise it will be postponed.

About the Beginner Series:
This beginner series is aimed at the entry level hiker that is looking to build themselves up so that they feel more comfortable to join the moderate hikes. Moderate and advanced hikers are welcome to join, but this will be more of a social hike.

Hike 1: Corriganville Movie Ranch = 2 miles with 300ft elevation.
Hike 2: Sage Ranch Loop = 2.5 miles with 350ft elevation
Hike 3: Mt McCoy = 2.6 miles with 600ft elevation
Hike 4: Lizard Rock & Paradise Falls = 5 miles with 700ft elevation

Directions:
Get on US 23 between the 101 and the 118 and take the Avenida de los Arboles exit, heading west. Just stay on that road until it gets to the trailhead parking lot on your left. It's pretty obvious, and if you drive too far you'll smash into a house in front of you.
