Holiday Dinner

Details
My very first Meetup was a holiday dinner, and I've been hooked on Meetup ever since. Join me as we gather to kick off the most joyous time of the year.
This will be a very different arrangement, so please read the details completely and follow the directions.
First, I strongly recommend you view the online menu. This will not be an inexpensive evening, but it will be unforgettable! I have made a reservation for 8, because I have no idea how popular (or not) this event will be, but I am confident we will fill 8 slots. This is strictly a first come, first served situation. As soon as the 8 chairs are filled, I will close RSVPS on the event announcement.

Here is how this Meetup works: There is a $20 CASH reservation fee due immediately that must be handed to me in person. No one can RSVP to this event online, so ignore the automatic message on the announcement. As soon as I receive your fee, I will add your name to the list of attendees. As soon as dinner is over on the 8th, everyone in attendance will get their cash back. Anyone who does not attend forfeits the $20, no exceptions. Any forfeited money will be left with the venue to help cover their lost income caused by the no show. I do not like having to do this, but having repeatedly been burned as a host, I am putting my foot down. You can catch me at any event until RSVPs are filled to submit payment. Make sure you can attend before you commit, because once I have your money, you are in, period, with no refunds given for ANY reason.
Two people can split a protein. One person buys a meal and the other pays for their sides. If you can find a partner who wants the same meat at the same doneness, you can save a few bucks. Besides, after the salad bar you're stuffed anyway. This is a cook-your-own over a charcoal pit place, but you can hire one of the chefs to cook for you for a small fee.
This is an opportunity to dress up a bit if you wish and get the celebration of the season started! I think if you ask those who attended last year, they all would advise you to not miss this event!!!
