Semantic Web - Linking people and data

  • Feb 15, 2010 · 7:00 PM

We're still getting to know each other, and I'd like to propose another outing! This time, I'd like to ask each attendee to prepare something to say on their interest in, or work on, semantic projects. Linked data, ontologies, graph databases, natural language processing - whatever related topics you want to talk about. We'll listen as everyone introduces themselves and their interests, and have time for networking and digging in to popular subjects after all have had a turn. I am going to propose we stick with the same venue for now, but push it back 1/2 hour in the hopes that more people can come out and introduce themselves to the group. If you have suggestions for a location, please feel free to send them along to me directly. Best regards! Christine

It was great meeting new people and learning about an important aspect of the web. I would like to see the group meet more frequently and to have more structure. Perhaps we can have a short presentation by the senior members of the group who know the most about the semantic web.
