Developers should learn many programming languages. Solving a problem with multiple languages and libraries can sometimes bring new insights. Some of the best programming languages to learn are the ones that have been around for many decades like Lisp and Smalltalk. In this talk, I will compare and contrast solutions to a Wordle Kata using Smalltalk and Java with Eclipse Collections. After this talk, you will understand how Smalltalk inspired me to develop Eclipse Collections.
