What we're about

This is a Meetup for members of The Planetary Society and anyone interested in space exploration, planetary science, space policy, and advocacy. We meet to share our passion for space, discuss cool space topics, attend local events, and learn about our place in space.

The Planetary Society is organizing a new space constituency that is educated, empowered, and loud. The DC Chapter is at the center of this movement. Our location in the heart of our nation's capitol provides a unique opportunity to help shape US space policy. Come join us and learn how you too can be a space advocate!

If you love exploring the cosmos and advancing space science, join us to discover your place in space!

Space nerds of all ages welcome.

The Planetary Society is the world's largest non-profit space organization. Under the leadership of CEO Bill Nye, we advocate, educate, and innovate in the name of space. The Society pushes for space & planetary funding in Washington, educates people around the world, and will be launching its own project, LightSail 2, aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket in 2018.
