Monday Evening Hues & Views (1 Hour)

Our weekly walk in Gale's neighborhood, enjoying the expansive vistas and big skies from Braemore Rd. overlooking SFV. Some individuals have been attending weekly for months.

In Late Spring and Summer, as the days lengthen and Daylight Savings Time is on, we enjoy glorious Sunsets (HUES). In Late Fall and Winter, we enjoy City Lights VIEWS.

Plan ahead: This event convenes at a private residence, thus, attendees must introduce themselves to Gale (the host) prior to this event date (such as at the weekly Thursday evening walk - see calendar), in order to obtain the address. Gale will lead a leisurely 45-minute to 1-hour stroll within the boundary of Reseda Bl. /Tampa Ave. and Sesnon Bl. /Wilbur Ave. The selected route for Gale's Walk is mostly level with slight, if any, inclines. This is a good opportunity for casual walkers (generally, 1 mile >22 minutes -- you may use a treadmill to determine your pace).

For those who are working on their cardio, a different host, or a substitute fast walker, will lead a brisk walk (same starting location and time, but a slightly different route) that includes some inclines and a faster pace. The pace is 1 mile in 16 - 20 minutes.

Dogs: Ok, (if friendly with people/other dogs, socialized, and leashed). Please follow group, local and state laws. See "About us" section for dog screening information. Essentially, for the safety and well-being of everybody, the Organizer would like to screen pooches, in advance of their joining an event, for a variety of criteria, including temperament, size, sociability, age and activity level.
