Welcome to the Capital Region InvestHER Chapter! This group has been created to help women real estate investors local to Capital Region meet, connect, and learn together and from one another!

MEET THE INVESTHER LEADERS

Tiffany Spann is the Founder & CEO of Wealth Street Capital. Her portfolio consists of 100+ units across Baltimore, MD and Atlanta, GA totaling $6M+ in assets. Value add assets are Tiffany's specialty as these allow her to grow her investors’ riches to wealth. Her real estate career began with single family home rentals, and she quickly scaled into multifamily apartments soon after she purchased her first rental in 2019. Prior to investing in real estate, Tiffany worked in Cybersecurity and Information Technology as a Program Manager. Tiffany managed projects that ranged from $6M-$9M in contract value. Tiffany’s background in managing people, projects, and risk mitigation has provided her with the ability to underwrite and analyze difficult deals to determine if they meet her investors criteria. Her mission is to help others achieve financial security and eventual financial and time freedom through multifamily apartment investing. In addition to being a multifamily apartment investor, Tiffany owns a Cybersecurity Consulting firm. Tiffany graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD with a degree in Economics. She holds the following certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Tiffany resides in Upper Marlboro, MD with her 8 year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family traveling.

Cheryl Heller has built her career by leading organizations through financial, operational, and cultural transformations. She has deep knowledge and expertise in finance but at the same time, understands the importance of corporate culture and the impact it has on the ability to achieve strategic objectives. She has managed P&Ls and has been responsible for financial forecasts for both large and small organizations. She has experience creating and overseeing complex, cross-functional programs to achieve corporate objectives. Her experiences, which range across organizations from Strategy to Finance to Operations to Human Resources, make her a valuable leader and advisor with a diverse set of experiences on which to draw. Cheryl is Managing Principal of Pillar One Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in Finance and HR consulting, where she helps start-ups ensure they have a robust financial infrastructure. Additionally, Cheryl is CFO for Impart Digital Media, a start-up new media/fintech aiming to close the wealth gap and Granate, a start-up in the death tech space providing a trustworthy and compassionate guide to life after loss. Furthermore, Cheryl is Managing Member of BHREI, LLC, a real estate investment firm focusing on short-term rentals, with $4M of assets under management. Cheryl is also a member of the Leadership Foundry Class of 2019 and the International Women’s Forum DC Chapter. Previously, she led cultural and financial transformation efforts across the Retail Bank of Capital One. The culture transformation created a more adaptive, inclusive and customer-centric organization. The financial transformation reduced operating expenses by 20% over a 3-year period. Prior to that, Cheryl was CFO of the Retail Bank, managing a P&L of over $2.5B in revenue. Cheryl’s career spans financial services, insurance and public accounting where she has held positions with increasing responsibilities including various finance, operations, and mergers and acquisitions roles. Cheryl has used her finance and operations expertise as a Board member for organizations such as The Holton- Arms School, Metropolitan Ballet Theater and Academy, and the Junior League of Washington. Cheryl has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree from the University of Hartford. She is a CPA, holds a Certificate in FinTech from the Stern School of Business at New York University, a Commercial Real Estate Certificate from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University and a Professional Master of Banking Certificate from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
