Smells Like Teen Spirit - Getting Out of Old Relationship Habits

Growing up in our habits and being real adults in our relationships takes work.  This work is really worth it.  There are fears, reactions, memories, out of control needs, judgments, suspect "knowledge" and all kinds of other stuff that gets in the way of us just being adults in our relationships.  Many of us (most of us) have some immaturities to grow out of.

But there's good reason.  We've been hurt, dumped, lied to, betrayed, taken for granted and besides all of that fun in the sun, WE DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT WE'RE DOING ANYWAYS, AND NEITHER DID OUR PARENTS NOR OUR PARTNERS.  So chill.  Make a decision today to be a student in your relationships and humble yourself.  There's so much to learn and it's so worth it to learn it.  There are plenty of things you relate to as part of "who you are" that are better left behind.  Start building who you'll be in relationships on firm footing and not just left to the unreliability of feelings and fears.

I'm absolutely willing to be there with you as you take on the courage to work on your relationships.

The importance of each person and commitment to each other, the members of The Relationship Circle, are values that are important to us.  If you RSVP and either do not come or cancel less than 24 hours in advance more than one time, you will be removed from the group.  We'll be happy to welcome you back, but it will have to be from a greater level of commitment going forward. We do this to enhance your experience and the experience of your fellow members.

If you're interested in a free Relationship Evaluation or Life Possibility session with me, Gregg DeMammos, let me know.  I'm a trained Life, Career and Relationship Coach who has been loving the adventure of marriage for the last 12 years and supported hundreds of people in all kinds of projects, from Entrepreneurial to Creative to Career to Leadership.  I love working with you to open up new perspectives and pathways to action and SUCCESS!

Please join The Relationship Circle on twitter @TheRelCircle and Facebook at or friend meto stay in touch and read my status updates that predominantly cover Relationships, Life Transformation and occasionally sports (I gotta be me!).

Very practical and a great topic to consider. I appreciated how Gregg accessed the wisdom of all the participants to help each other.

It was a lot of fun to see the participants contribute so much of their care and brilliance to each other last night!

Hi, I noticed this event is 3 hours. How is this event laid out?

    April 28, 2014

    • Gregg D.

Hi Jasmine. We actually close within two to two and a half hours, usually. We begin and go through a short icebreaker to give everyone a chance to speak and then go into the conversation where I lead and everyone is encouraged to share and work things out together. Tonight, we may do some small group work, too. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for the insight. I am hopeful I will be there today as I would love to join. If I'm unable to make it, I apologize in advance.

I think the relationship circle should have a newsletter. You could call it the DeMammogram.

That's pretty funny, free. Ladies? Your thoughts? I just had a flashback to all the times my mom complained about how inhuman mammograms are and how a man must have invented that torture device :)
