Mixed Reality by RRS Member Kuruvilla 'mat' Mathew

Mat is the Chief Information Architect at UST Global

This fancy title means he uses innovation to help customers solve business problems or to exploit new opportunities :)

Mat has a BE in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune in India and he loves being a technologist.

His lecture will present and discuss topics of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

Here is a preview of Mat's presentation:

Super Cool Part....

Mat is bringing some of his toys, I mean technologies that he uses for work so you can experience Virtual Reality.

Our goal is to give all registered attendees a chance to experience virtual reality on a HTC Vive or Oculus Rift.

These platforms start at $800 and do not include a computer, so this is fantastic opportunity to experience virtual reality without costing you a small fortune.

We will also bring a couple Google VR Cardboard to experience a low-cost virtual reality.

LIMITED TIME and Attendance

For the past several months, the Library has limited our time to meet so they can use it for other events.

As a result we are limiting attendees to this meeting to a maximum of 30 people so everyone gets a chance to experience virtual reality.  So register now!

4. Closing Announcements

** As Scheduled **

From time-to-time, the Riverside Robotics Society offers robotics classes to members in full standing (meaning you have paid $20 annual membership) and sessions for group building of robots. Classes may be free or offered as a reduced rate for members in full standing.

Review the schedule for the classes and robot build time.
