What is your connection to autism, aspergers or PDDNOS?

No answer yet

What is your biggest concern?

I am concerned that people think they should "cure" Asperger's. For me, Asperger's has come with challenges and gifts. I can think in ways that nuero-typical folks often cannot. I don't want someone to "fix" me or to think that they should try.

What are you (or your child's) interests?

I am a former high school teacher. I currently design and teach graduate education courses. I am a PhD candidate researching Aspies in distance education settings. I am hoping to make a call for PDD needs to be addressed in Universal Design.

Would you be willing to help organize events?

I would be happy to organize events, but I do have quite a load on my plate at the moment.

I am an educator, and I have Asperger's. I live in Port Washington, Wisconsin. I lead a relatively normal life, but I have always felt a little "different."
