What we're about

Hello there! We are a group of friendly people who want to improve our public speaking skills. We meet every 2 weeks to practise 2-min impromptu speech on a given random topic.

Did you know that communication is 55% body language, 38% tone of voice and only 7% words? This means your speech content could be non-factual and made up, but with great delivery techniques you can be a great speaker.

Please feel free to join the group and come to any of our meetups. We welcome everyone regardless of experience level. If you are new and would like to overcome your public speaking fears, we would love to hear your stories and definitely won’t bite. This is a safe learning space. If you are experienced, why not challenge yourself with impromptu speaking?

There is no membership scheme, all meetups are drop-in and free of charge, with optional pay-what-you-can contribution towards venue hire and meetup costs. The only requirement is that we ask you to listen when others are speaking.

Any form of harrassment will not be tolerated. If any participant engages in an inappropriate behaviour, the meetup organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning, asking the offender to leave or banning them from future meetups.
