"Forks Over Knives" Film Screening

Forks Over Knives offers compelling evidence suggesting that many degenerative diseases may be prevented or even reversed through a whole foods plant-based diet. After the film screening, featured physician Dr. John McDougall will be giving a presentation through Skype and taking questions from the audience.

Let's join Banana Slugs for Animals who are organizing this awesome event! They need help reaching out to the Santa Cruz community so please tell your family, friends, coworkers, etc. about this event and invite them to come. The goal is to have 2 non-vegans for every vegan attending. This is a great event to outreach to people about the health benefits of a plant-based diet, so let's spread the word!

This event is free. Parking will be free after 5 pm in the East Remote parking lot. The Stevenson Event Center is right up the path past the gym and field on the UCSC campus.

We hope to see you there!

This movie makes so much sense. Also loved listening to McDougall via Skype.

Thanks for organizing this Virginia! It was nice to hear Dr. McDougall speak in such a relaxed manner from his home via Skype.

The film was interesting and educational. I enjoyed sharing this experience with different people with different diets. It was also great to have the physician as a guest speaker over skype.

Kudos to Virginia and the Banana Slugs for Animals for arranging such a powerful evening, and with McDougall and his doggie, WOW WOW WOW and BOW WOW WOW.

It was a great movie and I was glad to see a couple of omnivorous friends of mine there. The follow-up with John McDougal was also interesting. I have been a vegetarian mostly vegan for 38 years and not likely to change except to get more strict and this movie had some good impetus. Thanks for organizing this event.

Thanks Julie! Also, I just wanted to let everyone know that Cafe Gratitude will not be serving food there anymore. I know, such a bummer! This is going to be such a great event though - I hope to see you all there! :)
