What we're about

The basis of this group is to build a community of musicians of all instruments and styles, singers, song writers/poets and voyeurs who appreciate live music and want to create live music events (acoustic junk boats, beach parties/BBQ's, picnics in the park, improv studio sessions, acoustic cafe lounge events, music sharing/teaching groups etc.)

A founding principle of this group, is that is it for musicians of all levels that want the opportunity to meet supportive like minded people and have the opportunity to showcase their talents/styles, what ever their level, or just try and experience something new.

"As" or "If" "The Secret Sing" gathers momentum, the idea is to find random venues of the beaten track to create alternative and interesting performance spaces, hopefully something a little different to break outside of the norm. Also to potentially omit, the people that want to stand around chatting and talking over performers whilst the newbies like myself are trying to find their performance feet and confidence as a potential musician.

Another fundamental point in creating this group, is for everyone to remember where they came from when starting out as a musician and learning their preferred instrument of choice. To help and provide a constructive outlet for other musicians, also to respect that we never stop learning and just to have fun creating music and meeting other people. The world is full of Tortoises and Hares?

In various discussions, it appears people are looking for an alternative outlet something more improvised and free. This site is set up both build a community of musicians from the well seasoned to the novice; also to provide a venue or venues for people to come together and share the experience. Hopefully have a good time through creating, learning, growing and enjoying the benefit through sharing with others. Sounds a bit pretentious, but you get my meaning.

Well hopefully see you at an event sometime.

Cheers,

Adam
