What we're about

This is the Meet Up page of The Singapore Writers' Group.

We also have a website at http://www.singaporewritersgroup.com .

If you're already stuck into a manuscript, poem, short story, script or narrative non-fiction piece - sign up for $80 yearly membership and come along to one of our regular critique groups. You'll also get your own private log in to the website with access to courses, talks and workshop information. You will also have the opportunity to publish a short story in one of our yearly anthologies.

We also run a (free) social and networking meeting once a month (generally the first Tuesday of the month) where you can meet other writers, budding writers, hit the open mic if you dare and find out more info about the SWG.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Romance Critique Group

Josh's Place (NUS)

Hi! We’re the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Romance critique group! We meet once a month for super fun round table group critiques of each other's short stories and novel excerpts. General Group Notes: - Try to keep submissions around 2,000 words. Longer pieces are fine, but please highlight specific passages for those who don’t have time to read the whole submission. - Please read and review all the submissions before the meetup. - Uploads are due the Monday before the meeting. For New Members: - As per the SWG rules, new members may attend a meeting for free to try things out. After that you’ll have to formally join and pay group fees. - File sharing and non-meeting discussion happens in a private Slack group which you can join once you’re a member. - If you’d like to check out our group, please contact Simon for the monthly reading list, or have any questions. You’re also welcome to come to the SWG Social Meet Ups. There’s usually at least one SciFi/Fantasy/Romance member there to represent. Happy writing and see you soon!

Not sure whether our critique group is for you? Then come and try one of our sessions or alternatively meet us at one of our monthly social meetups. There is a membership fee payable when you join, take a look at our website for details. http://www.singaporewritersgroup.com
