Our First Meetup - Meet The SmashingMag Team / The Invisible Side of Design

We're very excited to start our first MeetUp in hometown Freiburg! Come and meet our team, say hello and have a drink with us - we're always happy to meet new people :o)

We're going to kick off this Meetup with an awesome presentation about from owner and co-founder Vitaly Friedman:

The Invisible Side of Design

As designers, we tend to get distracted by aesthetics of our creations, and often do not pay enough attention to the other, invisible side of our work. This talk discusses the significance of purpose, substance and context in our design decisions. It argues about the value of storytelling, content strategy and thorough editorial work. It also provides practical examples of and insights into the invisible side of design.

The HQ is located in the big white building on the corner Werthmannstrasse and Gartenstrasse, at the big roundabout on the bridge. Our office is on the 4th floor - please press the buzzer when you are there so somebody can let you in.
