The Songwriting Collective (TSC) is a group of individuals dedicated to the art of songwriting in the Dublin area. We were formerly based in Rua Red Arts Building in Tallaght. We have now moved to the IMRO building off Baggot Street, where IMRO have kindly agreed to host us on a monthly basis. Our goal is to develop the songwriting skills of our members and expand our network both locally and internationally. Each meeting provides those participating an opportunity to engage in activities such as co-writing, sharing experiences and the chance to explore the many-sided craft of songwriting. Songwriting circles enable our members to receive feedback.
We also run a monthly "Open Mic" session in the Wellington Pub off Baggot Street Bridge where our members and friends can hone their performance skills before a live audience.
These monthly meetups are facilitated by Tony Bardon (www.tonybardon.com) and Danai Kelleher, both of whom have extensive experience of running workshops in Ireland and in Europe, as a result of their involvement with EU Funded Music Projects.
Each workshop meeting gives participants the opportunity to engage in activities such as co-writing, speedwriting and songwriting circles for feedback. We share our insights as we explore the craft of songwriting.
Please bring along your guitar or other musical instruments, but if this is not possible, come along anyway.
If you wish to have a song evaluated in depth, bring along a number of copies of the lyrics.
We will also help you finalise a song which may need some feedback or advice.
After the meeting, at approximately 9.00pm we will adjourn to the Wellington Pub just off Baggot Street Bridge, to present our co-writes and share other songs we have written.
In addition to the Monthly Workshops, we are now running monthly Open Mic Sessions in the Wellington.

We look forward to seeing old friends and new at this meetup
