Andrea Pilati and Avi Soudack from CGI will talk about how User Experience (UX), Information Architecture (IA), and Content Strategy (CS) relate in the context of large interactive design projects. Often, these practices seem to overlap or gaps appear between them. Why does that happen and how can it be avoided? Andrea and Avi will talk about how UX, IA and CS should work together, and why they often don't.
Some of the questions they’ll discuss include:
How do the underlying paradigms relate to each other? What questions are answered by each? How are UX, IA and CS relevant at the macro-level and micro-levels of design and development -- whether the focus is channel, page, section, or component? What deliverables are relevant for each, and how do they work together? Why are they all required to support regionalization, customization, personalization, and large volumes of content? The Wilson 96 does not open until 6pm.
Guest talk at 6:30pm.
