Welcome + New Exciting Projects (Blog & Podcast)

Greetings and thank you for joining the new Toronto Men's Issues Meetup!

We feel this meetup could be a unique opportunity to discuss contemporary issues from a new perspective. I look forward to seeing many of you at our first social gathering on December 14. Please RSVP as soon as possible and encourage your friends and colleagues to join.

It should also be emphasized that this meetup is open to female participants, so long as there is an understanding regarding the nature of the issues and perspectives that will be brought to bear.

I also wanted to announce two new initiatives that I've launched.

1. A new blog I'm hosting with a friend Katie Kish. Visit www.equalismactivism.com and please feel free to add your comments. The blog will be publicly launched on Thursday.

2. The Pendulum Effect, a new podcast (radio show) that a number of us are preparing to go live in early January. We could use additional volunteers to assist with production, editing and promotion. The podcast will feature one on one interviews alternating between luminaries promoting men's rights issues (authors, doctors, lawyers, journalists, scientists, etc) and leaders of major men's rights organizations. This sends an important educational
and outreach message - that men's issues are extremely broad, serious (hence the professional experts) and that we are starting to coordinate our advocacy across the board (hence the voices of organizational leaders).

Please contact me at [address removed] should you wish to volunteer with the podcast or other project. No background or skills are necessary.
