Please join me for another Hump Day Hike with the The Weekday Trailblazers!. This hike will start from the simi valley area and cross over into thousand oaks at least once buy the time we finish. A moderately strenuous 6-8 mile Lolipop Loop with 1200-1500 ft. of elevation gain treking above Long Canyon through the beautiful rolling hills and oaks of Lang Ranch joining the Albertson Motorway then looping back to Long Canyon. The unique views and landscape of this terrain are sure to be a new favorite. At the highest peak of our journey we will stop for a brief snack to soak in the views and coversation, before heading back into the Long Canyon Trial leading back to the parking lot.

Directions:

From the 101: Take the 23 north to Olsen rd. Turn right (toward Simi) to Woodranch prkwy. Right again to end where Long Canyon rd intersect and trailhead meet.

From the Valley take 118 west to Madera exit into simi past LA Avenue to Woodranch prkwy. Turn Left into Woodranch to end where Long Canyon rd.intersect and trailhead meet.

Essentials:

Please wear – brush-resistant pants/shorts, one or more wicking shirts appropriate to the temperature, comfortable hiking shoes or light boots, your favorite undergarments and accessories, and a light backpack.

Please bring – at least two liters of water, snacks, an extra layer of clothing, a charged cell phone, identification, a headlamp, a small first-aid kit, bug repellant and sunscreen, a waterproof shell if rain is forecast, and any medications or anything else you might need on the trail.

Parking:

There is free parking at the Long Canyon Trailhead parking area.

Please do not leave anything of value in your car, at this or any other trailhead.
