Here is an invitation and contemplation seed for April’s ECKANKAR Light and Sound Service event:

Would you like to experience these twin aspects of God's love in your life? ..They bring Love, Wisdom and Freedom in so many new and unique ways to handle life's challenges…

The ECK Light and Sound Services offers you an opportunity to explore your own direct connection with the Divine; .. and how each theme may relate to the sacredness of who you are as Soul, an eternal spark of God.

In small break-out groups, you’ll hear and share experiences on how the divine gift of love is received, expressed and can uplift. With insight and further inspiration, we’ll experience the sacred sound of HU, a love song that opens the heart to divine love, healing, and inner guidance. HU will be sung for 10-15 minutes followed by a brief period of silent contemplation.

** An Invitation to Sing HU **

You’re invited to try this simple spiritual exercise now, ..if you wish. It has helped people from many different backgrounds to open themselves more fully to an uplifting sacred presence within.

To do the exercise, first get comfortable. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths… gently put your attention on your inner visual screen, between and just above the eye brows ...where daydreams and images come to you.
With your eyes closed, sing HU....(pronounced like the word hue) as a song of love. You may sing it softly aloud, or quietly to yourself for several minutes. Then ..listen inwardly in silent contemplation to an inner flow of the Sound Current.
…You may notice a feeling of peace, warmth, and comfort. Reflect inwardly, and recognize the presence of the Divine throughout your daily life.
There are so many ways to experience this love of God.

... As you sing HU, you might perceive an inner Light as well as a Sound... The Light may appear as a brightness or colors on your inner visual screen. The Sound may be musical, or of the sounds of nature, such as the wind, the ocean, or of a light humming sound. However you experience this sacredness and presence of God, know that it is bringing you a broader understanding of the life you lead.

Welcome to the worlds of HU, an ancient, universal name for God. This sacred word can spiritually uplift people of any religion or walk of life. It is freely given—a gift beyond measure.

Every song of HU is a sacred occasion, a gift of the heart to the world, and the people in your life and community. When you sing HU, sing it as a love-song. You can sing quietly, or aloud but then listen, ever so gently. Listen to the inner Sound Current that is there, with you.

HU is the Sound behind all sounds, woven into the language of Life. It’s heard as the wind in the leaves, falling rain, thunder of jets, singing of birds and the awful rumble of a tornado. Its sound is heard in laughter, weeping, the din of city traffic, ocean waves, and the quiet rippling of a mountain stream.
HU offers balance, wisdom and wonder—it brings alignment with your true purpose and highest good.

Join us the first Thursday of each month to experience this sacred love song and Sound of Soul for yourself. After a short introduction and reading of a quote we’ll sing HU for 15-20 minutes, followed by a silent contemplation. Afterwards, you're invited to stay for awhile to share in an informal discussion or ask any questions you might have about your experiences, and/or the Eckankar teachings.

Many people have studied their dreams for clues, guidance, and insight to find answers about life beyond the physical realm. Dreams can reveal and be a source of inner truth, direction and wisdom into the spiritual worlds where one can explore a new sense of spiritual freedom.

Join us Thursday, May 9th at 7pm for an online Zoom presentation and discussion in the ‘Art of Spirtual Dreaming’. You’ll hear people sharing their insights, experiences and spiritual benefits of their journeys gained from dreams. You’ll learn techniques to help you recall; interpret and better understand your own dreams. You will also learn a short spiritual exercise involving HU - a ‘song of the heart’, which helps open the doors to a greater understanding of your inner dream-world experiences and their outer life connections.

This event and discussion will in part be based on the chapter entitled "Dreams and Our Spiritual Journey" found in the ‘Spiritual Experiences Guidebook’ by Harold Klemp. You don’t need to have read the booklet to attend.
