Melbourne Poets is a welcoming community for writers of poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction, memoir, lyrics, songs and everything in between.

Come along to our regular meetups where like-minded Melbourne writers can share their work, find inspiration and connect with others in a creative, supportive and safe space.
It doesn't matter whether you've been writing for years or haven't yet written your first line — there's a place for you here.

Come and read your work (if you're brave enough!), or simply listen, enjoy and support other writers.
You don't need to be published. You don't even need to call yourself a writer.
You just need to want to write.

All are welcome — just pre-register your attendance via the Eventbrite link or pay at the door (numbers are limited) and check individual event listings for details.

There'll also be opportunities to submit your work for publication through The Write Sauce, including online features, future compilations and other writing projects. Naturally, you always retain copyright in your own work.
So come along. Bring your words, your ideas, your unfinished pieces or simply your curiosity.
