Although we are not a "Match.com" group we are a singles group. Do you enjoy getting out and find it difficult doing things as a single person? We are a group of singles that have fun doing some things together and hopefully things you enjoy doing. Are you at the age (please only those that are 45+ and single) that you have fun with others doing fun activities but don't feel up to a 10 mile hike, but still enjoy life doing other fun activities? You don't like searching or planning; tired of the same old stuff on the dating sites but enjoy doing things with someone else, well you are in luck! We have enjoyed many years of organizing & co-organizing meetup groups. For Pam it was motorcycle rides, but now she is turning to the social aspect of planning some fun trips. For Jan, it is all about exploring the area with different adventures.
What we hope this group will become; events enjoyed by fun active attendees that love lots of laughs, no-drama, nature, movies, a nice dinner, a fun weekend get-away, outdoor adventures, small hikes/walks, kayaking, and even some community service projects to help our environment or to help those less fortunate.
Since there are thousands of other meetups that cover interests such as, skiing, mountain bike riding, climbing mount whatever but, this site will not be hosting these types of activities. This will be for the lower keyed folks that want to go out camping without climbing Mt. Everest. Hence, age 45+, the time that the knees start failing, the belly starts enlarging, and there is a wrinkle or two appearing, we appreciate each day we have to enjoy life.
Also, wanted to mention, the location is set to Watsonville where Jan lives but Pam lives in Gilroy with roots in Santa Cruz and San Jose, so we are trying to capture a wider audience. Our Meetups could be any where in the Bay Area and beyond! If you are age 45+, single, enjoy meeting new friends, and are up for some fun activities - please join us! And please, post a recent profile photo of yourself so it's easier for members to recognize you at our next meetup event.
