The Buddy Club is a social enrichment program created for kids who struggle socially , rather it be due to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bullying, Shyness or any other special need or reason as well as any child who is interested in learning what friendship is all about. Our motto: Making Friends. Embracing Differences.
We currently cater to homeschool/unschool and stay at home parents as most of our events are during the week, although we do have some after school hours . We do themed events that will include sensory , fine & gross motor skills, play based learning and physical activity. We also have feels trips, special classes, events and activities. We do not believe in forced socialization and instead focus on creating a fun environment that will have your child WANTING to participate. We do not require parents to bring supplies to events but we do require you to stay in the vicinity of your child. We do not allow drops offs unless noted. If you are a parent of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder or any other special need and have been looking into socialization groups, but have found it to be out of budget, would like learning activities hidden into play THIS is the place you definitely want to be! If you are a parent of a child that does not have any specific special need, but would like to raise a loving and kind child by teaching them friends come in all shapes, sizes and abilities, we would love to have you. Our group is about making friends and accepting differences not just tolerating them. Looking behind the curtain so to speak to see the grand treasure that can be in a friend you may have missed if not given the opportunity.
We will also host parent workshops in a variety of subjects.
