The Possibility Dogs InPerson Author Lecture

The Possibility Dogs

Susannah Charleson, author of the best-selling Scent of the Missing and recently-released The Possibility Dogs will be featured at the Friends of the Richardson Library’s InPerson Author Lecture on Jan. 23.

If you love dogs, books or both, you won’t want to miss the upcoming InPerson Author Lecture, presented by the Friends of the Richardson Library. This year’s event will feature Susannah Charleson, author of the best-selling Scent of the Missing and recently-released The Possibility Dogs.

Charleson’s first book chronicles some of her most memorable experiences with her search-and-rescue dog, Puzzle. They have spent many long hours together looking for the lost, from an Alzheimer’s patient to signs of the Columbia space shuttle crew.

The Possibility Dogs was released in June and documents how dogs are able to help people with psychiatric problems. I’m sure Charleson will delight and entertain the crowd with stories and insights from both books at the event.

The lecture is presented by the Friends of the Richardson Library with support from the Richardson Woman’s Club and the Richardson Arts Commission. FOL is a nonprofit group that does great work throughout the year to promote our public library.

The Thursday event will kick off at 6 p.m. with a reception, where guests can meet the author and her dogs. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. at the Richardson Civic Center. Tickets cost $15 for the lecture and $20 for the lecture and reception. You can register for the event through the FOL website at and learn more about the author at

Tickets purchased for the lecture. I heard her on the radio this summer. This should be a good one.
