Image and Facial Recognition with AI

Details
Join us at The Data Lab, as we discuss the techniques currently being used, the policy, and the ethics behind image and facial recognition.
Our two speakers are:
David Wallin, David Wallin Is a developer and Manager of Innovations at the Archer Group, a digital marketing agency. He is interested in emerging tech like AI, AR and VR. He will be presenting a high level overview of deep learning based image recognition techniques and their potential use cases, and also sharing a few personal projects in this space.
Dr. Chandra Kambhamettu is a Full Professor of Computer Science Department of the University of Delaware where he directs the Video/Image Modeling and Synthesis (VIMS) Lab. His research interests include Computer Vision, Data Science, Virtual Reality, Urban informatics, and remote sensing. His Lab focuses on multi-modal and multi-spectral image analysis with particular emphasis on medical and environmental related studies. He will talk about trends in facial image analysis and some of the work they carry out in computer vision and Virtual Reality.
He will briefly see what state-of-the art works in the area of face analysis are being carried out, and other computer vision works we perform in our lab.
We look forward to seeing you there!
