What we’re about

The Tea Phoenix is geared to African American and Latino Gay/Bi men from 18 to 29 years of age. We are a program though the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. The Tea Phoenix is an Mpowerment Project that is a model HIV prevention program that has been specifically designed to address the needs of young gay and bisexual men.

We will focus on our empowerment philosophy, social events, peer influence of safer sex messages, gay positive/sex positive, community building and outreach. Monthly M- group chats and events will offered to teach HIV prevention.

The Tea Phoenix has a its very own project space located in The Parsons Center. This is a space will be our Mpowerment headquarters. Here we will meet with Core members and volunteers. Our doors will be open for those community members involved with Mpowerment Phoenix. It’s a safe space to hang and meet new friends.
Our goal is to create a brotherhood of young men to empower them to use their voices and share the importance of Safe Sex, prevention, and knowing your Status.
