Start the New Year Out Right with a Picnic and a Hike

We can't think of a better way to start out the new year than a picnic and a hike. With that in mind, here's what we're going to do. Kathy and I plan on bringing our own lunch, you bring your lunch and we'll meet at the Bluebird barn at the park. We'll meet at 12:00 noon, so come join us.

Swap your party clothes for some warm layers and join rangers Stephanie and Allyson for a New Year's Day celebration hike at Seven Islands State Park, just 30 minutes from downtown Knoxville

The route is approximately 2.5 miles. The terrain will be mostly level to gently sloping. All ages are welcome! Bundle up and bring along some water.

Please pre-register with this Meetup AND the Seven Islands park to let us know you'll be joining us and it lets the park service know you're coming. There is NO charge for this outing.

The hike starts at 1:00 PM, we eat lunch at 12:00 Noon. Bring your own lunch, water and (snacks?) There are portable restrooms on the site.
