SPEEC Play Reading Series: "Rituals of Signs and Transformations" by S. Wannous

Join us for the fourth play reading of Theatre Makers' SPEEC Play Reading Series of plays with social, political, economic, and environmental change (SPEEC) themes.

We'll read online this time due to the pandemic:

• "Rituals of Signs and Transformations" by Saadallah Wannous (1941-1997) concerns the quest of characters to elude the roles imposed upon them by a traditional society and explores the life of prostitutes and queer people in Syria.

We will read this play in honor of Arab American Heritage month!
