Welcome to Urinetown!
A hilarious, satirical, and wildly entertaining musical that turns a world of water shortages into a riotous rebellion! With catchy tunes, sharp wit, and an unforgettable story, Urinetown takes you on a journey where the fight for free peeing becomes a fight for freedom itself.
Theo brings its rich history of Kurt Weill revues to this long-form musical inspired by the work of Weill and Bertolt Brecht. In a dystopian-like city, a water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets forcing the citizens to pay to use public amenities. With gusto, and show-stopping numbers, a hero and his ragtag friends rise from the sewage to spark the revolution!
Written by Chicago’s own Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis, don’t miss this Tony Award-winning hit where nothing is safe from witty criticism — capitalism, politics, the establishment, the anti-establishment, and even musical theatre itself!

GASLIGHT at Northlight Theatre (In North Shore Center for Performing Arts)
Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Boulevard, Skokie, IL, USGASLIGHT
by Steven Dietz
Based on the original play by Patrick Hamilton
https://northlight.org/series/gaslight/
Strange things start to happen as the seemingly perfect marriage of Jack and Bella devolves into something sinister. Why is the attic door locked? Whose footsteps wander the halls at night? Beneath the mysterious flicker of gas lamps, a husband’s quiet manipulations twist reality itself, and a woman fights to reclaim her sense of truth — and power.
Elegant, gripping, and unforgettable — Gaslight is a chilling psychological thriller that will keep you questioning long after the curtain falls.
This show is where the term Gaslighting comes from.
The show is 110 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.
