We will give out a mostly $1500 and$1000 buy in seats to the 2018 WSOP.

Goal is to generate $14,000 + for WSOP seats and award 7- $1500 seats and 2 - $1000 seats plus an extra $200 for for each winner towards expenses.

In 2017 this series raised over $15,000 and we sent 12 people to the WSOP !!!!!

MVP race will be structured as it was in 2017: The top 9 players in the MVP race from the series will play a single table tournament for 2 WSOP seats (top 4 cash)

I will hold at least 9 tournaments ($80 buy-in each)with the top 2-7 people winning the seat to the final May FINAL WSOP seat tournament (May 2018)

I usually put out the whole years schedule early and tweak or add a game as seems fit. General idea and concept
This series will be designed so you are encouraged to play in as few, or as many tournaments as you desire without it being much (if any) of a disadvantage to play in less than someone else. There are rules put in place to both encourage repeat play and encourage playing just a few or even only one of these.

With 50% of the $80 entry being paid out to the tournament winners - you could be free-rolling the final May tournament with one or 2 cashes throughout the year.

Final May Tournament details (the big game that we will have to award the WSOP seats)

This game was designed to be a free roll. If all entries agree to put up a small entry $ to make up enough $ for an extra WSOP seat to be awarded that day that can be done. 2018 Update - We have routinely had a $40 buy-in for the series final.

If you win your seat to the final May tournament you start with 10,000 chips
You can also win extra chips to bring to the final tournament by coming in 1st or 2nd in any of the 10 $80 buy in qualifying tournaments.

What is the advantage of playing in many - if not all of these ?

1.Once you have qualified for the final May 2018 WSOP seat tournament, you can enter additional qualifying tournaments at a reduced entry of only $60 !

  1. If you win additional qualifying tournaments throughout the year you can earn extra starting chips* for the final game in May 2018.

  2. There is prize $ for the top 3 MVP points earners. There is also a special 9 person MVP game for the top 9 players throughout the season where the 9 players play for 2 WSOP Seats ! (MVP game usually has over $3000 added, pays top 4, and has a $100 buy in.)

  3. If you win 1st place in THREE qualifying tournaments throughout the series of 10 - you INSTANTLY win a $500 bonus !!!!! You must play out the 3 tournaments and win.

It would become possible for 1 person to win more than one WSOP seat. They would have to win 3 tournaments throughout the year (automatic $1000 WSOP seat), or win a seat in the MVP game, and also win a seat in the FINAL EVENT tournament in May 2018.
The exception to this rule is there must be at least 5 seats up for grabs in the final tournament. If we only have 4 or fewer seats generated by the season qualifying tournaments it would not be possible for someone to win 2 WSOP seats.
In the highly unlikely scenario where 2 or 3 people win 3 qualifying tournaments (out of the 10) each one wins the $500. All bonuses apply only if we have at least 5 WSOP Seats up for grabs in our series final (we usually get 9+ WSOP Seats up for grabs in the final)

Why would someone want to play if they think they can only make a few or even one of these qualifying events ? -Unlike a tournament series that rewards overall performance, you can win your seat to the May FINAL tournament in 1 cash in this series.

-I think we can generate enough $ for at least 8 WSOP seats. So, if you sneak in and qualify barely in one event (doesn't matter if its early or late in the season) - you are guaranteed a seat at the Final Event with 10,000 starting chips. You still have an excellent chance of running/ playing good and winning a WSOP seat in our Final event.

-If you end up making only one or two of these and you win a seat - you are probably free rolling for a WSOP seat and have invested less than someone who played a lot to get to the Final Event in May.

-Can you play in the $80 qualifying events without playing for a WSOP seat ?

Yes. Actually. You can buy in for $50 and play for all the same day prize $. You would not be eligible for a seat at the May Final Event if you win the $80 tournament. Another player in the $80 would end up with the seat as a result.

MAY FINAL TABLE bonus chips.

The bonus chips are as follows.
In each qualifying event:
All of the MAY FINAL seat winners in the 10 qualifying events win bonus chips except for the lowest placing qualifier. (So, if 3 people qualify, 2 win bonus chips, if 4 people qualify, 3 win bonus chips.
as follows....
1st - 1000 bonus chips (added to the 10,000 MAY FINAL starting stack)
2nd - 750 bonus chips (added to the 10,000 MAY FINAL starting stack)
3rd - 500 bonus chips (added to the 10,000 MAY FINAL starting stack)
4th - 250 bonus chips (added to the 10,000 MAY FINAL starting stack)

5th+ - 200 bonus chips (added to the 10,000 MAY FINAL starting stack)

So for a reduced buy in of $60 and 50% of all entry $ being paid out that day, the chance to reach the FINAL 9 MVP Invite game, the chance to add to your Final Event starting stack, and a chance to win 3 qualifying events to automatically win $500 anyone should want to play in as many of these as possible.

Series MVP points. I will keep track of finishes and the top 10 players only in each qualifying event will earn MVP points. (Pictured above - 2017 Top 9 MVP players - Todd won the MVP Game. DC, Alex V. and Sue S. all won 2 events during the season! Alex also came in 2nd in MVP game and cashed in a Vegas poker tournament through this series)

The prize for 1st,2nd, and 3rd MVP during the regular season will be $300,$200,$100 plus a seat at the season MVP Invite only top 9 MVP game.

The top 9 players players in the MVP standings will play a Series MVP Single table tournament in MAY 2018- usually the Sunday before our series final (this is in addition to the MAY 2018 FINAL) for WSOP Seats. The goal for the MVP single table tournament is to pay top 4 - 1st -$1600 WSOP (Seat) - 2nd $1100 WSOP (Seat), 3rd - $600, 4th $300

ONLY A PLAYERS TOP 4 MVP scores count (this way a player that does not play all the qualifying events still has a chance to make the top 9 with a few good finishes) MVP points calculated as follows - You get .2 points for every entry your outlast (this is 1 pt. per 5 entries you outlast) plus the top 10 finishers as follows: 1st - 12 points

2nd - 10 points

3rd - 8 points

4th - 7 points

5th - 6 points

6th - 5 points

7th - 4 points

8th - 3 points

9th - 2 points

10th - 1 point

Profit sharing Here is how I handle the profit sharing. The WSOP is exciting. If someone wins big we want to spread the wealth just a little.

If you win a seat in this WSOP Final Event, you will only keep 80% of your WSOP profit (this is not a bad thing ! - read on.)
Profit is any $ above the buy in. If you cash at the WSOP, You get 100% of the buy in $ back first and then - 20% goes to the other top 7-10 (or more) finishers - the other seat winners in our Final event split equally. To qualify for the profit share the player must play with the $ they won in this series so the other players have a chance to win $ in the profit share.

-Don't look at this like one of those Sats where you are giving up 20% of your profits. You are getting a good chunk of 9 or more other really talented players in the WSOP (probably about 2% each). It will be very exciting if ANY of the WSOP seat winners go deep in an event !

-If I am not a seat winner in the series, I will still be in the profit share with the seat winners as the event runner. I will be organizing and keeping track of all the events everyone will be playing representing this series.

Congratulations if you have got this far in reading this description ! Did you get all that so far ?
good.

I think this series will get more popular the further along it gets. We will have a running total of WSOP seat $ generated which should stimulate the buzz

If I come up with any other questions or important points I will ad them here. If this seems cool to you - please play early in the season - as soon as we start advertising we have 2K - 5K..... raised already - more people will play I think. We lay out $40-$120 per tournament anyway - lets raise some $ for WSOP seats !

Thanks,

Todd U.
