What is a Glass Jar Mini-Meal?
I usually host a three-course dinner in my apartment (with lots of champagne and wine of course), with seating limited to 10 guests.
This MINI-MEAL is a smaller meal, served buffet style, and is open to 18 people. You can move around with your bowl of lentil soup, chat with Marina from Italy or Monika from Poland or Francois from Paris or André from Montreal. Catch up with old friends and meet new people. Think cocktail party, but with a bowl of soup!
Olives, homemade Cheddar Cheese Crackers, with Tequila Red Pepper Jelly
Homemade Lemon Lentil Soup
(with freshly cooked lentils, carrots, celery & baby spinach - vegetarian)
Garlic Parmesan "Monkey" Bread (pull-apart rolls made fresh, with lots of butter, garlic and parmesan cheese ... baked in my tiny oven)
Red and White Wine
New York Cheesecake with rhubarb purée
(creamy cheesecake with homemade graham cracker crust, puree on the side)
Location: I live in the 15th, between metros Commerce (ligne 8) & Charles Michel (ligne 10). The exact address will be given to invited guests.
~ one glass jar (to be your drinking glass for the evening)
~ 20 Euros each, cash or ticket restaurant
This mini-meal will be open-house, and will be served between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm. You can arrive anytime during these hours. Come early & stay till the end OR you can drop in for a quick bowl of soup and a glass of wine on your way home from work.
* Food Notes: This meal is 100% vegetarian. Any allergies or food concerns, please advise. I'm happy to accommodate your requests.
Because of limited space, RSVP if you'd like to come and then I will select guests from the list.

One Sous Chef spot available (small kitchen, only room for one). Would you like to learn what it takes to serve dinner in your living room? Come spend the afternoon with me while we prepare cheese crackers, make soup, bake bread, and cram more champagne into my tiny fridge. Ask questions, take home copies of all of recipes, and tips for when you host your next dinner party. You arrive at 2:30 pm, we prepare until 6:30 pm. Take an hour off, then guests begin to arrive at 7:30 pm. Cost is 10 Euros in addition to your dinner fee. When you RSVP for dinner, please indicate if you'd like to be selected to be the Sous Chef in the comments section.
