Join us for the first Ethical Tech and Humane Design Event in Berlin ( where we explore trends in technology and their ethical, moral, and societal implications. Whether you are a designer, developer, business owner or consumer, these are the topics you need to hear in 2018.

For this event, we welcome three speakers: Cade Diehm, from Tactical Tech Collective, Yann Leretaille, from the Good Technology Collective, and Alexander Steinhart, from ThoughtWorks. Together we will introduce the topic, highlight some important aspects of the various fields and answer why it is important to talk about Ethics and Technology.

Yann, co-founder of the Good Technology Collective, a European think-tank on ethical technology, will elaborate on the need for ethics in tech and what good technology is.

Cade, the Project Lead at the Tactical Tech Collective will discuss 'Weaponised Design', a process that allows for harm towards users with a defined system. In this talk, Cade will present the present as a perfect opportunity to deconstruct and analyse the causes of weaponised design and design for better outcomes in the future.

Yann Leretaille
Yann is a French-German tech entrepreneur and think-tank founder. He is the CTO and a co-founder of 1aim, a startup aimed at redefining how buildings work, and the Good Technology Collective. The collective advocates for rational data collection, greater public awareness of data gathering and use, and the importance of reframing the narrative of a future society centered around Internet of Things (IoT) to one based around the concept of intelligence by design.

Alexander Steinhart
Alexander has a background in psychology and technology. He co-founded the post-tech startup ( OFFTIME ), one of the first startups in the field of technology that protects our minds. Currently, he serves ThoughtWorks as a consultant to deliver technology to address their clients' toughest challenges, while seeking to revolutionize the IT industry and create positive social change. His special interested is in realigning technology with humanity's best interests.

Lena Sarp (Moderation)
Lena works as a freelance UX Researcher and Design Thinker. Her goal is to include people and society in the design process in order to create sustainable and valuable products.
