Microservices is a quite ubiquitous topic in the current software engineering landscape and the curve of adoption is still rising. There are many benefits a microservice system could potentially have, but anyone implementing it will face a few challenges on their journey. Quite a few of these challenges will be specific to the respective project or organization. However, a few years' experience introducing and building microservice systems as part of client projects has shown that most projects share a common set of challenges - organisational and technological.
