Barriers to growth; where are yours and how do you address them?
In May, we'll take a holistic look at barriers to growth, exploring factors that may be unique to your operation or are encountered at a regional level. - Space; do you have what you need, was it hard to find, are you concerned about getting hold of more? - Money; have you needed to raise finance, will you need to raise more, soon, does a need for investment slow you down? - People; can you get the staff you need, can you keep them, do you need to train up the people you take on? - Management; do you have the skills needed to manage more people, do you have people who can step up into management, is there a training or experience gap when it comes to leadership? - Sales; are customers your limiting growth factor, how do you find customers, do they come easily? - Delivery; do you struggle to keep up with sales, can you scale what you do (make / provide)? - Infrastructure; are there things you need from the wider community in order to grow, would these things be more readily available elsewhere? By attending you can pool and explore specific issues that you face within your own operation or industry domain, drawing on the shared experiences of others. Please note the location of Bristol and Bath Science Park. There's plenty of free guest parking and Andrew can offer a car share from/to central Bristol - just ask. This is a return to the topic, and a chance for those who couldn't make it in December. With thanks, Peter, Andrew and Rory

    Public Group

Threads enables scale-up of technology businesses by providing a forum for leaders and managers to discuss and pool their learning around issues that impact business growth - leadership, operations and people.

Threads run monthly facilitated round-table discussions, exclusively for Founders and Leaders, providing a unique opportunity to talk about issues that you face, or may soon face, within your operation. It's an opportunity to gauge your thinking and seek fresh perspective from people whose judgement you value.

Discussions are structured and pragmatic, unpacking a nominated topic under Chatham House rules. The conversation draws upon the collective real-world experiences of those who attend, including aspects particular to your own operation if you wish.

People always leave Threads with at least a few ideas to reflect on and potentially implement.

There is no selling and any networking is incidental.

Occasionally Threads run a traditional Q&A event, where attendees can seek guidance from an invited industry expert on a particular topic.

To get involved, come along in person - please rsvp via the Upcoming MeetUps page.

Alternatively, if you can't attend, you can always explore a topic further via the Message Board page, where you'll find a summary of the take-away thoughts from each Threads event.
