Evening Meditation
If you're new to Zen practice, instruction will be available. If new folks let me know ahead of time I'll meet you at 6:30 and let you know how things work. Our regular members don't always sign up on Meetup, so we usually have more attendees than you'll see signed up here. I hope to sit with you soon! Lee

What we're about

Three Treasures Sangha of the Pacific Northwest (TTS) is a lay Zen group located in Seattle, Washington; we practice in the tradition of Robert Aitken Rōshi and are affiliated with the Diamond Sangha.

Our form is derived from the Japanese Zen tradition, favoring simplicity. While we focus on individual sitting meditation (zazen), we also recite texts (sutras) together. Talks and private interviews with teachers provide a chance to ask questions and to refine understanding. Zen practice emphasizes experience over concepts, so no beliefs are necessary. It also allows us direct experience of underlying reality, so is not in conflict with other faiths. This practice fosters concentration and clarity of mind.

All aspects of Zen practice are designed to foster immediate engagement with the boundless totality available to us all. Our practice is both personal and engaged with the world.

We warmly invite you to join us.
