Our final GIS event of the year will host a keynote speaker, Ryan Garnett from the City of Toronto (https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryangarnett/). Ryan, a former grad student of Lakehead University, is the Manager of Geospatial Integration and Access for the City of Toronto. His talk will be on Modernizing Municipal GIS in a World of Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
The talk will take place in the Regional Centre (https://www.lakeheadu.ca/faculty-and-staff/departments/services/conference/tb/meeting-facilities/regional-centre) on the Lakehead University campus at 7pm. The GoGeomatics social will follow afterwards at the Outpost, next door to the Regional Centre.
Note that parking at the university is free in the evenings.
