The October 2016 edition of Timisoara Mobile Development Group meetup is related to education, featuring projects developed in formal and informal educational settings.

The first presentation will unveil the Outcomes of Mobile Summer #3.

Cobalt Sign (http://www.cobaltsign.com/), one of Timisoara's best companies specializing in mobile development organized this August the 3rd edition of Mobile Summer (http://www.cobaltsign.com/mobile-summer-3-0/). Probably the best specialized summer tech educational program for teenagers and students in West Romania, Mobile Summer helps passionate youngsters expand mobile programming skills enjoying both a professional approaches and a friendly and relaxing environment. Including various technical presentations that have exposed Android Studio, Java or Firebase and push notifications tips and tricks, the program equipped participants with key skills in order to develop interesting projects. This year's edition gathered 16 participants who worked in pairs, developing 8 Android apps. Three of the best projects developed by the Mobile Summer ninjas will be presented during this meetup.

You are welcome to constructively analyze and offer feedback. Be kind and encouraging and keep in mind that those projects are creations of enthusiast beginner mobile developers!

Oana (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/#) & Arthur Csertus (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/#) are The Timisoara Mobile Dev Family, jointly running Cobalt Sign, involving in community life and devising educational programs for kids interested in mobile development.

The second presentation will be delivered by professor Radu Vasiu, Mugur Mocofan, Andrei Ternauciuc and Silviu (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/11927898/) Vert (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/11927898/), and will refer to the m-Commerce Course developed by Timisoara Politehnica University (https://www.m-commerce.enterprises) within a consortium of European partners. It is addressed to individuals and companies aiming to develop e-commerce activities bound to smartphones or tablets. The course provides a complete set of information covering business, legal, technical aspects that are necessary for the successful implementation and exploitation of the m-commerce paradigms.

Radu, Mugur, Andrei and Silviu are academics at the Politehnica University of Timisoara (http://www.upt.ro), teaching and doing research within the Multimedia Research Center (https://www.google.ro/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwif9qjN_dTPAhWPyRoKHUaWAYYQFggcMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.upt.ro%2FInformatii_multimedia-research-centre_341_en.html&usg=AFQjCNHVfDF-HXIdOxVlt6qp4eo7y3mjuQ&sig2=HV9vNHmTlAe3qm_07dZO3A). The Center is active in multiple international academic projects and is also involved in IT community events in the area of Timisoara (hackathons, meetups, student contests).
