What we're about

This is a community for those who care about what they do and have a culture of continuous learning.

This is a community for those who believe that being average is just not good enough.

It's not only about code! We are not focused on a specific technology or programming language but on all the topics that are relevant to the Software development. We want to improve our crafts and help others to improve theirs.

The Manifesto (http://manifesto.softwarecraftsmanship.org) for Software Craftsmanship

Not only working software, but also well-crafted software
Not only responding to change, but also steadily adding value
Not only individuals and interactions, but also a community of professionals
Not only customer collaboration, but also productive partnerships

We'd like to thanks lastminute.com that is sponsoring our community and JetBrains for supporting it.

At the end of each monthly meetup, we extract one free licence that can be used for one of the JetBrains product.

Global Day of Coderetreat

Bravomeeting of lastminute.com group

Ciao craftsmen, we are pleased to host the Global Day of Coderetreat! Coderetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. By providing developers with the opportunity to take part in focused practice, away from the pressures of 'getting things done', the Coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement. Practising the basic principles of modular and object-oriented design, developers can improve their ability to write code that minimizes the cost of change over time. HOW TO JOIN If you want to take part in this event, please book your ticket at https://gdcr-ticino.fordev.events/event/2019. Don't worry it's free; we just want to be sure that you really want to be part of it. AGENDA The Coderetreat day consists of 5-6 pair-programming sessions, each session's learnings building upon previous sessions: - The morning focuses on becoming comfortable with the problem domain, breaking old habits and beginning focused self-discovery. - The afternoon pushes the envelope by challenging pairs to stretch their skills and understanding of abstractions, modular design and test-driven development. NOTES It's highly recommended to bring your own laptop since it will be a practice-oriented day.
